Between now and Easter

I have to:
• Get my hair done
• Get a dress/suit for Easter
• Buy $200 worth of food/decorations for the Church’s Easter dinner

And all this either by bus or asking for rides from people lol not to mention I have to clean all the dust out of my room, put things in storage (dusted or not), stay on top of my homework and have a social life? Ha!

I guess it’s time for an update...

Monday we got new windows

Then Tuesday afternoon/evening the contractors said they put the wrong windows in and Wednesday they were going to replace them.

I’m HOPING Thursday we get the new bathroom windows so that Friday things can be inspected and finished up. I have a buttload of dust I need to somehow clean out of my room.

Oh, did I mention I’m also sick? Yeah. I think it was from being out in the cold 4 nights in a row. Plus I was around someone who sounded like she was coughing up a lung. My belief is that if you’re sick and constantly coughing, you shouldn’t be going out. Stay home. Get better. Don’t go out and possibly get others sick…like me! And I RARELY get sick! Hopefully this is my ONE time this year and I won’t get sick again this year.

There’s this guy. I probably won’t get to see him for a few years, but I really want to see him. This is more complicated than I thought it’d be. Actually I was thinking it’d be anything more than friendship, but now…who knows.

Animal Lover

earlier today I was with my "cousins" at an outdoor birthday dinner. There was a stray cat or someone's pet who got out. well it kept coming to the backyard and going into the bushes.

These people were either allergic or scared of animals and they kept saying to kick it or throw stuff at it. They were even encouraging the little kids to do the same thing.

Me being a cat/animal liker, I was getting defensive. I got up from eating to escort the cat out and closed the gate behind me. Not much good that was. Cats can jump gates & fences.

every time the cat came to the backyard they were like "where's Lizet? she's the cat lady to get the cat out..." the cat wasn't bothering anyone. it came into the backyard and hid in the bushes. They actively sought the cat out to get it out of the backyard!

This got to me so much that I called my dad to come get me early (later I changed my mind, then changed it back again once more people started to leave). I just wasn't in the mood to be around them.

What got me even more was seeing the guy I used to crush on throwing stuff at the cat. He even joked that the cat needed to be saved (needed Jesus). I don't care how good you are with kids (he's pretty awesome around kids), you treat animals like that and you're on my shit list.

This is yet another reason I hope I am able to move to Wyoming in a few years. Start over fresh with people who don't know me and I don't know them.

Yaaaay

OMG guess what ya’ll! I finally got my laptop from the school! It’s a Dell Inspiron Netbook. This is closest to what I have. I have black. I wish it were some bring color, but hey, I got a laptop! Woohoo!

I’d be doing this update from my netbook (who I suspect I should name…) but I’m getting it all protected and whatnot before I really use it. My dad really needs to see about getting wireless in here! My neighbors got smart and protected their wireless connections so I can’t bum anything from them. Oh well. We have DSL cords that reach into my room.

Tuesday I spent part of the day with Staci. I guess she’s healing well from her surgery. We girl talked and watched The Bad Girls Club and then I left. It took like an hour on the bus to get there but like 2 hours to get home. What the heck?! My mom ended up picking me up from the train station because I needed to be home quick like. I had 2 discussion board questions to answer and a final! I finished the class around 930 pm. That’s the latest I’d waited for finishing a class! I don’t think I want to do that again. Too stressful thinking I’m going to run out of time or the computer is going to crash.

Today is Mid-Week Bible Study. I have no idea how I’m getting there or home. My cousin who I go with has been really sick the last few days (she’s missed a day and a half of work and she never misses work!) so I don’t know if she’s going to go. I ask my mom but she acts like I’m pulling teeth when I mention being dropped off. I get it, parking here is crap, but damn, you want me to go back to NOT going out anymore!? I get so frustrated with her. At least my dad is like “yeah, sure…” or “yeah, I’ll take you…in a couple hrs” or something.

Umm…I think there was something else, but I can’t remember. I need to finish cleaning the cabinets before my dad gets home…and I don’t know when that’s going to be – he’s at the gym right now. I also need to do the discussion board question for my new class I started today but I think I’m going to do that tomorrow.

I’m running out of things to put here...

I got a zero on my first paper. I want to know why, I have a feeling why, but I don’t too much care. That’s not good. I have 3 A’s and a C. well 4 A’s if you count the “orientation” class that was taken Jan 16th. But this is okay. If I don’t get grades lower than a C, this is okay. I don’t want to get below a 70% in any class!

This Internet (for Legal Research) ends on Tuesday. Wednesday a new class starts. Friday a book was shipped so I should get it Monday or Tuesday. I can only guess which class is going to be next…and my guess will probably be incorrect.

Staci is out of the hospital. She got out on Sunday (2/21). This is good. Not good is that Pastor Abe (her grandfather) went into the hospital Friday morning. I don’t know what’s going on. Relying on my parents for 4th or 5th hand information is like trying to follow a conversation in another language where you only know certain words. Last night my dad told me he should be released later today, and in the mean time Pastor Amancio (Pastor of the Hispanic church) will be giving the sermon.

It seems like it’s been longer than a week since I e-mailed my resume to my friend at Everest College. Every day she tells me the position is still open and that she’s telling her boss about me…and that she wants me to have the job, but I still haven’t heard from anyone. But it’s only been a week (give or take some hours). Tomorrow I’ll hit up my friend again to see what the status is on her end.

There’s some stuff going on that I’m not exactly ready to talk about. There are a lot of things up in the air and I know it’s only a matter of time before one of them falls. I just hope that I’m prepared for when it does. Last thing I need is to be unprepared and something go wrong. I’m also trying to figure out why I’m doing some of the things in doing in regards who I’m hanging out with.

I’m due a rather large Federal refund. As soon as I get it, I’ll be happy. A new bicycle, some new clothes, storage boxes to clean my room, might treat myself to a trip to the hair salon. A big chunk is going to be put in savings towards a trip later this year or next year.

I have church in a couple hours. If I were going to my cousin’s church, I’d already be there and in 2 hours (more like an hour and a half) I’d be done…

quick question

but first some background info.

In my civil litigation class, the discussion question for today is to list 5 sources paralegals would/could use to locate a witness. which would be the most useful, which would be the least useful and why.

One of my sources I said was the post office as you know...people might want to get mail and you know...not fall behind in paying bills and whatnot and someone commented saying that most people don't do that.

my question to you is, do you think when people move, they think to do a change of address with the post office?

Seems I got the school thing all wrong!

Today I finished Word II though I took my final on Friday (if I remember correctly). Like I thought, I got a perfect on the “essay” final keeping me at an A in the class. 96.8% is the highest A I have to date. Go me!

I thought that tomorrow I’d be starting Word Processing for the Law Office, but I was wrong. Tomorrow I start Civil Litigation. Oh boy! I can already feel my brain about to explode…and I haven’t even done the first reading. Ha! This class is 2 weeks – it ends February 23 and there’s “no school” on the 15th. Oh! And the first assignment is due Friday before 11:55 pm. It’s not too bad – a page double spaced. I’ve done that tons and tons of times! I need to keep this Grade A momentum going. I’d hate to do poorly in this class.
